Gateway Schools Annual Fund Drive

The Gateway Annual Fund Drive is our yearly (September 1 – August 31) effort to increase financial support for a wide range of programs that help us continue our mission – to provide innovative and effective educational programs for teachers and students.

A gift to the Gator Fund helps to bridge the gap ($2,009) between what reimbursement is received from the Texas Education Agency and the actual costs of providing the Gateway experience to each student. Here are a few examples of how your gift to the Gator Fund can help in a very meaningful way.

►Ensuring that the appropriate educational technology is available to all our students and faculty

►Ensuring that extracurricular programs are offered

►Covering the cost of our building lease

All parents and friends of the school are asked to make a gift to the Gator Fund through a variety of solicitation methods including: a personal request from the Development Office; a direct mail letter; a phone call from a board member; parent or student; or electronic media.

Every gift counts and gifts of all sizes are welcomed. You can participate at a level that is comfortable for you and it does not take a huge donation to have a significant impact. When taken together, gifts to the Gator Fund create one of the school’s most significant sources of support. Because annual gifts are typically unrestricted, they can be directed to areas with the greatest need and the greatest potential for impact. Each gift, regardless of size, strengthens the school’s participation rate and demonstrates a vote of confidence in a Gateway education.

Honors and Memorials: If you would like to make a donation in Honor or Memory of a special person in your life, you may click on the "Support our Schools" link on the left navigational link. You will be able to provide the name of the person or persons who are honored or memorialized in the form provided. In addition, you will be able to designate the purpose of your gift for a particular project and there will also be the opportunity to provide the school with information about your employer’s matching gift program to increase the amount of your gift.

Pledges: You can make a pledged gift to the Gator Fund and pay it off over the course of the fiscal year. The school will send you a monthly pledge reminder. In order to be counted in the annual listing of donors, pledges must be paid by the end of the school’s fiscal year – August 31. Pledges can be made when you receive your Annual Fund solicitation letter in the mail, or by calling the Development office at Orenda Education at 512-869-3020, Opt. 8.

Matching Gifts: Gateway gladly accepts matching gifts. If your company/organization participates in a matching gift program, you should contact the Human Resource or Marketing departments about your donation.  Typically, a business representative will contact (either through email or by phone) our Development Office for confirmation of the employee's donation to the Annual Gator Fund.  The process can take 4-8 weeks for the matching gift to be received by the Orenda Development Office.

Stock: You can make your gift to the Gateway Gator Fund with a gift of stock. Please click here to download a copy of the Stock Transfer Form. Please also be sure to let us know in advance if you are making a gift of stock so we can track it correctly.

All your donations are tax deductable and pledges are accepted as well.

We will continue this campaign throughout the school year or until our goal is obtained. To make a donation, click here and complete your donation at this secured Orenda donation site (You will receive a receipt immediately upon submission.  A development officer will follow up with you.  Your donations make it possible to offer a school of excellence here in Williamson County.
